From the CD booklet:
Storyville New Orleans Jazzband was formed in 1980 by experienced
New Orleans musicians from Denmark and Sweden. Although changes in
musicians, the band still consists of musicians from both countries.
At the concert in Sorgenfri Church, the band brought the fascinating
Swedish singer, Anna-Mia Barwe.
The tunes selected from the concert are all well known hymns. "Sing
On" was among the eight tunes recorded by the legendary Sam Morgan's
band back in 1927. "Precious Lord, Take My Hand" was written
in 1932 by Thomas A. Dorsey after the loss of his wife while giving
birth to their child, who also died shortly thereafter. "Walking
With The King" is another well known hymn within the New Orleans
repertoire.
